Kofu Toastmasters Meeting May 25, 2019
The meeting started after President of Kofu Toastmasters said, "Kofu Toastmasters #8 Meeting in order". After that, the president introduced Toastmasters of the day (TMOD) TM. YK. She started from the ice breaker session. A pair of people introduced each other within one minute. After the self-introduction, the participants were able to relax.

The main event for the meeting is the prepared speech session. The first speaker TM. K spoke about his Toastmasters journey. He started becoming a member of Yamanote club in Tokyo from 2006. Then he moved to Southampton, U.K., Sapporo, then he moved to Kofu in 2017. All location had Toastmasters club except Kofu. Fortunately, Kofu Toastmasters club started last October. I become a member of Kofu Toastmasters club. So, I would like to enjoy my life in Kofu with Toastmasters journey.

The second speaker TM T spoke about the Koshu wine. The grape "Koshu" originally came from Georgia, central Asia 1300 years ago. Koshu grape is essential for making Koshu white wine. Koshu wine is the first Japanese wine to be awarded the gold medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards in 2014. Koshu wine is export to Europe these days. Currently, only 5% of Japanese made Grape wine is consuming in Japan. 95％ of wines made from foreign grapes. Koshu wine is delicious, so let's enjoy drinking more with everyone.

The third speaker is TM. S. He spoke about a comedian. Do you interest a comedian? Be confident, respect originality is essential, as like the comedian. Comedian Mr. P gives a joke, plays the ukulele, and provides a laughing. If you feel about stress. Enjoying life like a comedian is very important. You better stop a moment, calm down, and then start to walk again. If you do so then if you are facing whatever the problems, you can never give up your targets, and you will be challenged may things.

The fourth speaker T.M. Y introduced his ancestors. Kofu city established in 500 years ago. Warlords, Nobutra Takeda created his home in Kofu. In TM Y's hometown, many people have the same family name. Their ancestor is Warlords, Mitsutomo Akiyama. He was alive around year 1100. He works with Warlords, Yoritomo Minamoto. Akiyama's ancestor is Minamoto, and Minamoto's ancestor is Emperor Seiwa. Warlords, Yoritomo Minamoto married Warlords, Shigemori Taira's daughter. So, the people who lived in T.M. Y's town is a relative of very famous historical people.

The next session is Table Topic speech. This session, Table Topic Master asked member some question instantly. The appointed member answered this question immediately. The first question is, where did you go 10 days' vacation Golden week? Answer; I visited Sapporo. Then I visited Nikka Whisky distillery. I learned how to make whiskey.

The next Table Topic question is; if you can get paid holiday, where will you visit and what do you like to do? Answer; I am a schoolteacher. I would like to visit Finland with my students then I would like to see Aurora. In the real world, I am very busy and no time to take a long vacation.

Then we move into the evaluation session. Four evaluators evaluated four prepared speakers' speech.

The last session is the business session. We discussed the Kofu500 Global Leader & Speech Workshop in Kofu Civic Hall scheduled on June 29. We invited 100 Kofu citizens. We discussed the preparation.
